Fingerprint/facial recognition ID for login and payment verification

Hi. This is one topic I brought up with the ladies at your Business Show at the ICC in Sydney Wednesday afternoon.

Are there any plans for facial recognition and/or fingerprint identification at point of sale? It would make the process more efficient and arguably more secure if done correctly

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for reaching out and for chatting with the team at the show.

    At the moment, our customer facing payment links run through the browser, so biometrics like facial recognition or fingerprint ID would require a dedicated app.

    We’d love to understand your use case a bit more — are you looking for faster customer authentication, improved staff security, or something else?

    We also currently have Tap To Pay on our roadmap.

    Knowing your specific workflow would help us explore whether passkeys or other options might be a good fit.
